Faux Tatoes

Today I made some yummy Faux Tatoes and I thought I would share with you how I make them.

Start with a head of cauliflower, cut it up and add it to the steamer.

Add a couple of cloves of garlic.
If this was just for me I would add more!

Cook until really soft, mine took about 20-25 min.

While the cauliflower is cooking grate your cheese. I use a KitchenAid Food Processor (I have had this for at over 20 yrs.) with the shredder blade. After shredding place cheese in bowl and change out to your cut blade.

Remove top of steamer from pan and allow to cool - should be warm.

Add to food processor with the multi-purpose blade then add 2-3 Tblsp. of butter or to taste. and process until creamy.

Add your cheese, I like Cheddar or Colby Jack but you can use whatever kind of cheese you like. Process until creamy.

Salt and Pepper too taste and serve.
I like to make mine loaded so I add chopped green onions and bacon!

MMMM Yummy!!

One of my most used kitchen gadgets

I thought I would start off by sharing some of my favorite kitchen gadgets with you.

One day (a few years ago), I asked my husband to pick up a specific salad spinner. Well of course he came back with a different one.
 And why you ask?
Because it was cheaper and he didn't think I would use it. Boy was he wrong.... I use this baby on a daily bases, and not just for salads. I use it too clean all my veggies too, and it dries them off quite well.

This is what he picked up from the local grocery store. You can also get one at Amazon

All though I did want the one (fancy name brand) you just pushed on, he got me this pull string one. I wasn't very happy about it and I had figured "oh well as soon as this puppy breaks I am getting that fancy name brand one"! Well that was probably about 4 1/2 years ago and It has actually held up and done a great job.

I will be sharing more of my favorite gadgets with you and would love it if you shared one of your favorite gadgets with me in the comments below!

Have a good one!
